Recycling Hair

I was glad to participate in the “Circular Cities Challenge” to solve the issue of material waste. It is organized by @distributeddesign and @fablabbcn. There are four directions of waste which are Food, Human Hair, Energy, and Wool.

Our hair team focuses on how can we combat cultural taboos through creative and open applications of human hair. With an alginate recipe, we create new material. It is similar to making paper or raw earth. We got wonderful support from Materfad, Clic_recycle, and Dihu Miguens. Thanks a lot for all the efforts as well as our team!

The results were exhibited in Cosmo Caixa in Barcelona last July 2023.
